Vince Russo discusses Charlotte Flair’s status

Charlotte Flair’s constant complaints backstage WWE have been well documented in recent weeks. Numerous insiders expect the legendary Ric’s daughter to file an official request for release soon. During the latest edition of ‘Writing with Russo’ on Sportskeeda, former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo compared Charlotte’s situation to that of Shawn Michaels.

In fact, it is no secret that HBK made every effort to leave WWE to join WCW in the late 1990s. Vince McMahon wanted to avert such an eventuality and did not bow to Shawn’s demands. The Chandler champion retired permanently in 2010 at WrestleMania XXVI, after losing to The Undertaker in one of the most thrilling matches in modern ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ history.

Vince Russo comments on Charlotte Flair

“The story of Charlotte Flair is by no means unique in WWE history. Vince McMahon has had the same kind of problem with Shawn Michaels in the past. Vince knew full well that HBK was unhappy in WWE, but he didn’t care and he never wanted to bend to his demands.

He didn’t care that Shawn wanted to leave, as he had the knife on the side of the handle. If he has decided that Charlotte has to move forward in WWE, he will continue to use her until her contract has expired. As for Charlotte, her disappointment is understandable.

Her partner works at AEW, while relations between WWE and her father have cooled in recent times. She feels alone and abandoned” – said Vince Russo. The latter also criticized Becky Lynch’s character: “How did we go from A to Z? She is now wearing Elton John’s glasses and all those flashy clothes that make her half comedian and half wrestler.

No guys, she’s supposed to be the badass Irish girl who’s not afraid of anyone. How is it possible that she became Elton John? Don’t you realize how damn it is forced and not very credible?” RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently addressed the heat she has with Charlotte Flair.

The Man claimed that things have gotten so bad that they aren’t even on talking terms anymore. “I don’t know, man,” said Lynch. “We don’t talk anymore. We don’t talk. So all I’ll say is the locker room needs a hero sometimes.

And sometimes somebody’s gotta be a hero. I’m all right being that hero. That’s what I’ll say on that matter.” (H/T: Sports Illustrated) Becky Lynch went on to talk about how hard it is to work with someone you have heat with, especially when it comes to facing them in the ring.
