Vince Russo discusses Karrion Kross’ status

Between 2018 and 2020, Karrion Kross played in IMPACT Wrestling (where he performed under the ring name of ‘Killer Kross’). His first appearance in WWE dates back to 2015, but his official debut took place only last year at NXT.

He has won the NXT Championship twice and remained unbeaten for quite a long time. In the episode of Raw on July 19, he made his debut on the main roster, where he was clearly defeated by Jeff Hardy, generating mixed reactions among the insiders.

In the weeks that followed, in addition to taking revenge on Hardy himself, Kross smoothly got rid of wrestlers like Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo, John Morrison and Jaxson Ryker. During the latest edition of ‘Writing with Russo’ on Sportskeeda, former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo explained that the fates of Karrion Kross and Damian Priest should soon cross.

Vince Russo opens up on Karrion Kross

“Believe it or not, starting a feud between Karrion Kross and Damian Priest would be the best possible choice for WWE” analyzed Vince Russo. “Damian Priest would be presented as the ‘cool’ type, while Karrion Kross would play the heel character.

Kross is a very versatile athlete, he can be involved in different types of matches, which also applies to Priest. It would be appropriate to use various expedients to allow both of them to express themselves at their best,” he added.

The discussion then moved on to recent developments relating to Bobby Lashley. ‘The All Mighty’, which had literally been dominant this year, lost its title to Big E on September 13th. Since then, he has remedied three losses in a row (one in PPV and two more on Raw).

“It occurs to me that maybe Bobby Lashley asked WWE for more money. Seriously, how is it possible that such a strong boy has suddenly become so vulnerable? When I see things like that, I doubt that something has happened behind the scenes that we are not aware of.”

In the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Jeff Hardy was part of a group of superstars who chased the 24/7 championship. The segment drew the ire of many disappointed fans who were furious over the legend’s treatment.

Karrion Kross, on the other hand, is coming off a win on RAW. It will be interesting to see the two superstars cross paths again. Further in the interview, Jeff Hardy had also expressed his desire to win the Universal Championship at least once before his retirement.

He praised Roman Reigns and also stated that he wants to face The Tribal Chief in a dream match. Reigns’ special counsel Paul Heyman reacted to Hardy’s comments on Twitter.
