Dominik Mysterio on working with Brock Lesnar

Last week on SmackDown, Brock Lesnar announced that he is currently a free agent thanks to the crucial help of Paul Heyman. Thanks to this ploy, the former Universal champion enjoys the freedom of being able to appear in both WWE brands.

The Beast, who has made his return to SummerSlam after more than a year of absence, will face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on 21 October. Throughout his WWE career – which can be divided into two parts – Webster’s 44-year-old racked up countless accolades, as well as going down in history for stopping The Undertaker’s legendary ‘Streak’ at WrestleMania in 2014.

During the latest edition of the ‘Out of Character’ podcast, Dominik Mysterio recalled his early days in WWE. The young Mexican talent had the opportunity to share the ring with Lesnar, who at the time was engaged in a heated feud with Rey.

Dominik Mysterio on Brock Lesnar

“Being able to work with a legend of the caliber of Brock Lesnar at the beginning of my career was incredible. I even managed to hit him with a double 619, before inflicting a Frog Splash that sent the audience into raptures.

How many athletes can say they did this to Brock Lesnar? I still get goosebumps if I think about it. It shouldn’t have happened at my age, in fact, he was just crazy” – said Dominik Mysterio. Rey’s son then analyzed his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam in 2020: “I thought it was a joke, I have to be honest.

My dad asked me if I would like to challenge Seth at SummerSlam and I was literally in awe. I had been following Rollins’ career with great attention, from the feud with Triple H to his stint as a member of the Shield. He has always been a top-level wrestler, who has never backed down in times of difficulty.

I can only say good things about him”. In recent weeks, WWE has been paving the way for Dominik Mysterio’s sensational turn heel. While he is not a full-time star, Brock Lesnar was eligible for the WWE Draft. This is unlike other part-timers like Goldberg and John Cena, who are around for much lesser anyway.

Paul Heyman vigorously attempted to figure out where he was going and supposedly played a role in making him a free agent. Well, at least according to The Beast Incarnate. Lesnar thanked Heyman for making him a free agent, which caused some tension between him and The Bloodline.
