AEW and WWE are challenging each other once again

WWE chairman Vince McMahon has announced that a special episode of Smackdown will air next week, exactly Friday, which will run simultaneously for half an hour with AEW Rampage, one of Tony Khan’s two federation shows.

In fact, the episode of Smackdown on FOX will last two and a half hours, so the last half hour of the episode will interfere with the start of AEW Rampage on TNT. All this due to the temporary network change of the television broadcaster that broadcasts Smackdown.

After Vince’s announcement, Tony Khan sent a direct tweet to the WWE chairman saying, “I’ve seen you go head-to-head with us for half an hour. Can’t wait to finally beat your main show. It’s been a long time since the last time and now see you next Friday for AEW Rampage on TNT.”

The AEW Rampage card

In the special episode of Smackdown, WWE will present a show with several interesting matches: – Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks in an invalid title match – King Of The Ring Semifinal: Finn Balor vs Sami Zayn – Queens Crown semi-final: Carmella vs Zelina Vega – Sonya Deville vs Naomi The presence of Brock Lesnar, a free agent after the last WWE Draft, was also announced for the show.

The AEW Rampage card On the AEW Rampage show, which airs next week in Florida in Miami, the match will include: – CM Punk vs Matt Sydal – Ruby Soho vs The Bunny – Inner Circle against Men of the Year and Junior Dos Santos A while ago, in a call with investors, Vince McMahon, declared that the AEW could not be considered as the WCW of the heyday, which is why it would have given some members of his roster to Tony Khan’s federation.

In reality, however, there are several reasons why so many WWE Superstars would want to move to AEW, primarily for the creative freedom that athletes have but also for the more serene environment that circulates backstage.

Khan tweeted that he can’t wait to see Rampage beat WWE’s main show SmackDown in the ratings next week. Furthermore, Tony Khan said that the head-to-head clash has been a long time coming and he can’t wait to meet the competition next Friday night.

Check out the AEW chief’s tweet below. “I saw you’re doing a half-hour head-to-head with us. I can’t wait to finally beat your main show head-to-head. It’s been a long time coming. See you next Friday for #AEWRampageon @AEWonTNT!” tweeted Tony Khan.
